The Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 beta has officially begun!
Unfortunately, the v1 doesn’t include any playable footage or videos of Ye Shunguang or Zhao.
This test mainly focuses on buffs for five existing Agents, along with the introduction of the brand-new Potential System. In addition, ZZZ has added a new co-op system, allowing players to team up and clear certain stages together to earn special buffs.
Back to the main topic — the Agents receiving buffs this time are Soldier 11, Ellen, Grace, Burnice, and Soldier 0 – Anby.
Details on Burnice’s changes haven’t been leaked yet, while Ellen and Soldier 0–Anby received some stat-based improvements.
Soldier 11 and Grace, on the other hand, got new mechanics added to their kits.

| What Is Potential Systems？
Potential System is a brand-new feature coming to Zenless Zone Zero in Version 2.5. Through this system, players will be able to unlock new abilities and passives for certain Agents, as well as enhance their overall stats.
Generally, the first Potential will unlock a new kit or mechanic, while the subsequent Potentials will mainly provide stat boosts and other numerical upgrades.
After the update, players will be able to exchange specific materials in the Store to obtain Potentials.
As for the exact types and amounts of materials required, there’s no information available yet.
| How To Unlock Potentials？
Additional Potentials can be purchased from the Potential Shop using Awakening Currency, which can be obtained through Ridu Weekly, Shiyu Defense, and Deadly Assault activities.
It currently costs 1,000 Tokens to obtain one Awakening Material (the price may be temporary).
In the same shop, you can also exchange for Boopon (unlimited), the W-Engine “Gilded Blossom”, its upgrade material “Twenty-Four Winds”, as well as Knightboo and Luckyboo.

NEW: After using this skill, Soldier 11 will enter [Auto Block State]; while in [Auto Block State], if Soldier 11 is attacked by an enemy while attacking, Soldier 11 will use [Basic Attack: Start Charge] to dodge the attack, then perform [Basic Attack: Charge Counter]. After performing [Basic Attack: Charge Counter], press [Attack Button] to continue [Basic Attack] from the previously saved attack sequence
>Basic Attack
NEW: When [Fire Suppression] is guaranteed to trigger, unlock the fifth hit of [Basic Attack]. Each time the fifth hit of [Basic Attack] deals DMG to enemies, it enhances the next fifth hit of [Basic Attack], up to 2 times.
After triggering [Perfect Dodge], the current Basic Attack sequence is preserved. Press [Attack Button] during [Dodge Counter] to continue [Basic Attack] from the preserved sequence.
Hold [Attack Button] to activate:
Continue charging, release [Attack Button] to unleash [Basic Attack: Charge Counter].
When hit by an enemy attack during [Basic Attack: Charge Counter] or at the moment of activating [Basic Attack: Start Charge], can trigger Block Counter to gain immunity to that hit, increase the Interrupt Level of the skill, and boost CRIT DMG by 30% for 30 seconds. Additionally gain three guaranteed [Fire Suppression] triggers, up to a maximum of 8 times.
During charging, drag the stick/joystick to activate [Basic Attack: Running Charge].
>Chain Attack: Uplifting Flame
NEW: After using this skill, Soldier 11 will enter [Auto Block State]; while in [Auto Block State], if Soldier 11 is attacked by an enemy while attacking, Soldier 11 will use [Basic Attack: Start Charge] to dodge the attack, then activate [Basic Attack: Charge Counter]. After activating [Basic Attack: Charge Counter], press [Attack Button] to continue [Basic Attack] from the previously saved combo count.
>Ultimate: Bellowing Flame
NEW: After using this skill, press [Attack Button] to immediately follow up with the fourth hit of [Basic Attack].
After using this skill, Soldier 11 will enter [Auto Block State]; while in [Auto Block State], if Soldier 11 is attacked by an enemy during an attack, they will evade with [Basic Attack: Start Charge], then execute [Basic Attack: Charge Counter]. After executing [Basic Attack: Charge Counter], press [Attack Button] to perform [Basic Attack] starting from the retained combo count.

When consuming Zap, gain the Zap Enhancement effect, increasing Electric DMG by 20/25/30/35/40% for 25s. Repeated triggers refresh the duration.
>Ultimate: Demolition Blast - Beware
NEW: When Decibel Rating is at Maximum, press [Ultimate Button] to activate:
Throws a custom grenade which explodes in the air and splits into four smaller grenades, dealing massive Electric DMG;
Gain 25 stacks of [Overload] (max 25 stacks);
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.
>Special Attack: Quick Obstruction Removal
NEW: During [Overload], hold [Skill Button] to activate:
Continuously throws grenades forward, dealing Electric DMG, gaining one stack of [Zap] for each grenade thrown;
Upon use, drag the stick/joystick to change directions and dodge enemy attacks;
Anti-Interrupt level is increased while using this skill.
>EX Special Attack: Supercharged Obstruction Removal
NEW: With enough Energy, press [Skill Button] to activate:
Leap in the air and throw two grenades to the front, dealing massive Electric DMG;
Upon use, drag the stick/joystick to change directions;
When [Zap] stacks reach maximum, throw an additional lure grenade that creates an electromagnetic field at the explosion point, continuously pulling enemies and dealing Electric DMG;
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.
[Overload]
NEW: When activating [Ultimate], gain 25 stacks of [Overload] (max 25 stacks). Consuming [Overload] when gaining [Zap];
When consuming [Overload] to gain 8 [Zap], your next grenade throw will launch an additional grenade, and hitting enemies with Electric Attribute Anomaly triggers [Abloom]: Deals additional Electric DMG equal to 500% of the original Attribute Anomaly DMG;
Unlocks [Special Attack: Continuous Grenade Throw] while [Overload] is active.

Ellen’s [Additional Ability: Rising Storm] increases critical damage by 2/2.6/3.2/3.8/4.5% per stack.

In [Additional Ability: Voltage Surge], all squad members’ Aftershocks deal 35% more damage to enemies marked with [Silver Star].
