Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient method of quickly cleaning up mess. The best robot vacs and mops that I have tested have top-notch mapping and navigation as well as the ability to remove Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks with an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combination. It has the latest features. This model of the highest quality is fast and nimble and can pick up dirt such as hair from pets and human hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a mini map of your home and a few buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to adjust the cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels. It will clean its mopping pads more frequently when it comes across dust. Carpeted areas get the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
The mop's roller has a number of other smart features, including docks that connects to the plumbing system in your home to clean and wash it without you having to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant of the S8, you can use voice commands to set room cleaning modes and precise control with just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's one of many combination robot vacuums that have mops that are also offered at a lower price than the competition.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This includes setting up an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot is able to begin cleaning and mopping easily.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process may take some time and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has an accurate image of your living space. In addition the object detection is unpredictable It was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to turn itself over to free itself. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an appliance that can do all of the above.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubbing. This means that floors are cleaned and not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach places even a robot vacuum cannot.
The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction capacity of 8,700Pa and additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. And the smart app lets you modify the settings of your choice such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging station after each task to clean their pads and empty their dust bins and then place the debris in the self-sealing bags. This helps to keep the system clean and prevents allergens from circulating. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without needing a charge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more expensive robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that uses a roller constantly sprayed with water to collect dirt and deposit it in the water tank.
Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without crashing and staying clear of stairs. It struggled with fine debris and didn't always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also high, which suggests it could be less of a set-and-forget model than other models.
As with most robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that can replenish its clean water, empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance simple and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to a regular schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app, which provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums available on the market. It provides impressive results in mopping and vacuuming. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision. The app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system incorporates smart carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they are close to soft surfaces to avoid contamination.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free maintenance center, automatically washing and drying the mops before refilling them with detergent and water. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their bins of dust every time they are cleaned.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8, this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office clean and can also tackle the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping camera and laser to create a 3D map of your home so it can know what to stay clear of. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like toys and dog bowls (but not poop) unlike other vacuums.
Other great features include a self emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and set custom the settings for each room in your home.
Like the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to cut down on time, it will skip cleaning rooms that aren't dirty. It's an excellent option if you have a mix of flooring in your home and aren't looking to spend the extra money on the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this robot is a good choice. It comes with a variety of features that include a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, as well as customizable settings via the app. It's extremely quiet, and it can move between furniture legs and socks with ease. However, it can't pick up tangled rug tassels, and its battery drains faster than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that comes with an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming, but overall it did well. It also comes with a variety of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for lightweight debris to the more robust 'Turbo' mode that is ideal for carpeted rooms. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for people who live in tiny spaces. It's quiet and quick, and it does a good job of maneuvering around tight spaces. It also does a very excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competitors, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has good suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as 'not located', so that they are not picked up again during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not tied to your account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that clip onto the bot's bottom and drags them across the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mophead.
