The Band Toto Asia
Toto expanded its production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto documented Toto words so that the next generation could read them. However, many of the words were replaced with foreign ones, such as dui, which is Bengali for verandah.
Origins
Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the first half of its existence, the company produced goods to meet demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To do this, it employed the country's first tunnel kiln that produced ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation for production control, which helps to increase efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products of other manufacturers to expand its range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the company's market share in the world.
In the late 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis on research and development for household appliances that use water. It also redesigned its distribution system to better serve its customers and improve profit. The company embraced a just-in time approach to managing its supply chain and used the same method in its sales program. This resulted in a greater level of customer satisfaction.
Toto has continued to innovate in the toilet technology. Its latest toilet has a strong, eco-friendly tornado flush. The company makes use of recycled water for its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets Toto produces bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more efficient in energy use than conventional models.
The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It features exhibits on the most iconic products of Toto, their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made of ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products like bath units. In another gallery, visitors will find Toto products that are sold across the world. The museum even includes a bathroom with a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before the formation of Toto, members of the group did sessions for various musicians. Boz Scaggs' album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummer Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also performed on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
It is common for a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock band however, it's actually a relatively straightforward rock group. The group was formed as a four-piece and released two albums: 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a diverse musical background their biggest hit was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, however it did not come without its own set of issues. Record companies put the band on the spot with the ultimatum "give us an album that is a success or we'll take you off the market" and the pressure was on to give it. Toto was able to do this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is due to their prior experience since the members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their distinctive sound has become the standard for '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound, with songs such as Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly work their hooks into your. However, the album also includes some slower, more jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations, a song that mixes folk with distorted AOR and should sound completely wrong, but actually works amazingly well.
After Toto IV The band's fortunes changed towards the negative. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band had to go through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation, which was not as successful as IV. However, the group was able to release a chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet style of the previous albums. It was a more ferocious, constant effort with a harder edge than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. Keyboardist David Paich's work also was more refined, sharper and less cloned on previous performances.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live concert in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a brand new studio album just a few months after and 토토사이트 순위 (to-topia.Com) embarked on a tour around the world to support the album. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began exploring old tapes and demos to discover songs that hadn't been recorded before. It was completed as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the first album in the history of the band that did not include one single track with the word "A" in its title and it included one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that restricted his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of officially restructuring the band. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had a special guest appearance from singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
